These long gloomy days and constant rain are hard to get through. It's so whiny California girl of me, but it really cuts into life without a car, the busses are more crowded, and people drive like crazy. Just yesterday on my walk home I almost got hit by a car several times. I haven't been able to go to farmer's market for the last few weeks so I don't have any delicious apples or loaves of bread. I keep thinking I can just wait out one more week without good rain boots, so I'm still lacking proper wet weather shoes, but it's those in between sunny beautiful days that give me hope this will be over soon.
