It's been warm during the day, and predictably icy at night. It was almost 9 PM and if there weren't rows of houses between us and the ocean we could have seen the sun setting.
And this is the difference between people who cook, and a person who is talented and creative who can be called a chef. It's a serious treat to have Carlos cook dinner for us, and this time he was practicing his vegetarian fare. Oh my god. A beet has never tasted so amazing, and fava bean pesto, who knew? And how impressive is it to cook a pie on a weeknight. I've learned alot from them about grown up dinners.
